I am on day number 15 of loving my new board. So far I have incorporated lunch count, morning calendar, interactive websites for science on my Smart Board. Today I received a surprise package...an airliner. I have it plugged in and charging, but would like to hear your thoughts on how you utilize this device.
Thanks for sharing!

I took two Smart Board training classes this summer. In my district, our middle school and high school will get Smart Boards in each classroom. However, in the elementary schools, we “might” be getting two in each school. I am hopeful to be one of the classrooms to get the Smart Board.
ReplyDeleteOff the top of my head, I would use the wireless slate in cooperative groups to allow my students to display their thoughts to the class. I teach third grade and I use a lot of cooperative group activities. I use white boards. The AirLiner is an example doing something different using technology. I am interested to see how you incorporate this new technology in your classroom. You are lucky to be working in a district that has purchased this new technology for your classroom use.
The students have been asking to use the slate. I appreciate your idea for using it in small groups. This would give them the opportunity to try it out.
ReplyDeleteOn Fiday, I used it to model/lead a math worksheet. I was able to walk around and help students and did not have to keep rushing back to the front of the class. I could just move on to the next problem and stay at the student's seats that needed added help.
